About Us

My name is Houston Clark, and Peak to Prairie Avalanche Training is my company. I’m a born-and-raised Southern Alberta boy who had the good fortune to grow up close to the mountains. I grew up having too much fun in the Rockies and decided to keep that going into adulthood, making a home for myself in Revelstoke, B.C., for the last eight years. During that time, I have pursued a career in avalanche work and am certified with the C.S.G.A. (Canadian Ski Guide Association). I currently work as an Avalanche Technician for B.C. Highways, where I help keep the highways near Revelstoke open and free from snow.

I have worked as a Ski Patroller at Revelstoke Mountain Resort for seven years, and guided for Monashee Powder Snowcats. I have a passion for sharing the love I have for these mountains and the good times they’ve provided in my life. I have been teaching Avalanche Skills Training (AST) courses for the past five years, but I only recently decided to start my own company. I felt I could provide a more personalized and exciting product through my courses.

So here we are! Book your AST with Peak to Prairie—whether you’re a sledder, skier, or boarder—and we’ll get you trained up for a lifetime of the best powder and good times in the backcountry.

Thanks for checking us out,

Houston Clark
